Ready to make an Airplane

Wow, what a statement, only 5 years after starting this project. Below you'll see the final stages of getting the fuse molds ready for production. Also, every mold that has been made over the years has now had 3 coats of wax put on, and laboriously rubbed in and off. Items you'll see below include mounting the legs to one of the fuse molds. I decided to cast into the mold itself, some 'hard points' so that I could then mount legs in them, which in turns makes the mold itself, a freestanding table to work out of when making an airplane.

You'll also see below a few fun shots of looking inside the molds with the plug out of the way. Kind of neat seeing inside what will eventually be my airplane.

Lastly, you'll see the fuse molds getting painted on the backsides, to keep the resin from deteriorating from light over the years.

Next up, I'll start back with some of the smaller molds and actually start making airplane parts!
