Starting to draw to a close all of the foam installation. At least the big carving parts anyhow. I had to tweek my thinking on several points on the nacelles, because as they started to shape up, parts just didn't look right. I also realized that I will need to mold the last section of the tail cone of the nacelles (the turkey feathers) as a seperate piece to get the fuse molds to work right. Also, you will see in the below shots, the outer wing pannels are in place. Since on the finished plane, I'm going to have plug in wings, I decided to mold them as separate as well. Still, setting the outer wing roots took quite some time, to make sure they were correctly positioned.

While on the subject of the outer wing pannels, I've got the basic airfoil cut, but not the tips, trailing edge or leading edge on yet. I'm a bit daunted by the 'droop' on the leading edge, and still pondering on how to properly get it cut into the airfoil. This shot is one I've got from the Blackbird in Nebraska, showing in part how difficult this part will be.

By the way, did I mention I love these clamps? :-)
