Yea, I know, it's been ages since an update. But, it has been jet flying season, after all!. Between our travels to the jet meets around the Midwest this summer, progress has been continuing though. Unfortunately it's the kind of progress that doesn't show in big dramatic ways. Since the last update, the below headway has been made:
The table drops away! Finally get to move the alignment table aside for the first time, since the lay-up of the shape. Rolling it over, as seen in this shot, shows all the carving and fill work to be done, down below:

With the bottom carved off, it's time for at least an initial layer of filling to start evening out the 3 fuselages. Some drywall mud anyone? Jerry show's off his fine technique...hmm, we still have an unfinished room downstairs..........

The next couple of shots show the hand carving of the tip of the nose and the tip of the tail, and cockpit. These all required many hours of sanding and carving, with a ton of pictures, and 3 views all handy.


And now, finally, work on those dern !!?##$#!?##$ wing tips continues. Actually, they are shaping up very well so far, but have taken a huge amount of time to work out. The droop in them is just a bear to get correct. But, armed with a ton of photos, they are getting there. Below are a couple shots of progress:
