2005 MO Profile Brotherhood Event (MO-PRO-BRO)

These are pictures and movies clips from a few of the many R/C aircraft flying at the 2005 Missouri Profile Brotherhood (MO PRO BRO) event in Bolivar Missouri, on June 24-26, 2005.

MMRCA members Troy Hamm and Andy Steere attended this event for the first time (but not the last!). These images are in no way designed to document the event... just a few random glimpses of the happenings. These pictures and movies were taken with a Minolta Dimage Z-3 digital camera.

MOVIE CLIPS

(These movies were produced using Arcsoft's Video Impression 2. The 384Kbps size may run better on slower computers, and are quite a bit smaller than the 760Kbs versions without loosing much quality. Some of the movies are also available in 640x480 resolution (1500kbs), when the original was taken in that size on the Minolta Z3 digital camera. I usually recommend right-clicking on the link, choose save to disk, and play the video ouside the browser.)

A 79" OMP Yak-54 P ARF owned and flown by Troy Hamm ("funflyr"). BME-44 powered, with a KS cannister muffler. This was the largest profile at the event, and other than the electrics... it was the most QUIET! Less noise than any of the 4-strokes, even the small ones... and if there were any mousse-can 2-strokes flying... you couldn't hear the big Yak at all! Awesome flying machine!
1:19 minutes (320x240-384Kbps - 3.1MB) (320x240-768Kbps - 6.4MB) (640x480-1500Kbps - 14.0MB)

An 65" OMP Yak-54 P ARF... electric! Tanic / Axi powered, flown by Gary Seeloff. The most impressive plane at the event (to me anyway). Quiet, extreme power, unmatched acceleration, and very long flight times. A look at the future. The Tanic guys (www.tanicpacks.com) were taking some video of the action.
4:47 minutes (320x240-384Kbps - 11.8MB) (320x240-768Kbps - 23.8MB)

Short clip of Paul Swanson ("Swany") flying his ever present Mojo 60. His design and extremely popular with the bro's. Available at www.SwanysHouse.com.
0:33 minutes (320x240-384Kbps - 1.1MB) (320x240-768Kbps - 2.2MB) (640x480-1500Kbps - 5.9MB)

An Extreme Flight R/C Edge 540T Profile, flown by Jeff Williams.
1:19 minutes (320x240-384Kbps - 3.1MB) (320x240-768Kbps - 6.4MB) (640x480-1500Kbps - 14.0MB)

A 47" OMP Yak-54P, flown by none other than "Gator".
1:21 minutes (320x240-384Kbps - 3.1MB) (320x240-768Kbps - 6.5MB) (640x480-1500Kbps - 14.4MB)

A Katana 70 from Accel Hobby. Flown by Gary Seeloff.
2:22 minutes (320x240-384Kbps - 5.8MB) (320x240-768Kbps - 11.7MB)

A collection of short clips, where there wasn't enough material to make a whole movie for just one plane. Saturday evening action. John Well's Sledge, Gordo's Mojo60, Dave McDDD hovering a slow stick (!), some foamie action from Jeff Phiefer and others, a well-used Mojo reborn after repairs, and Dave's Sig Faser really late in the evening.
3:31 minutes (320x240-384Kbps - 8.5MB) (320x240-768Kbps - 17.8MB)
